Grade Drilling System
The new Ditch Witch grade drilling system, including the 86BG beacon, transition sub and grade bits, gives horizontal directional drilling equipment the direction and grade control needed to install pipe for gravity-flow sewer systems and for other applications where grade control is necessary.
KEY FEATURES:
*The BG grade beacon provides pitch data in .1 percent increments at grades to 45 percent and in 1 percent increments at grades between 45 to 90 percent.
*Grade bits are shorter and narrower than standard bits to make steering corrections more gradual and to help keep the bore path straight.
*The 86BG is effective to depths of 40 ft.
*The 86BG operates on two C-cell batteries which last approximately 16 hours.
